Collecting Dues
As the IPW membership has blossomed to over the past few years and activities such as our interactive website, exhibits and workshops have our volunteer board members busy with new and ever expanding efforts. The time has come to simplify something as basic as collecting dues. After much discussion and debate your Board has agreed to make an adjustment to when Dues are collected. In the past collecting dues has been a bit casual with reminders going out every few months. A new annual approach to collect dues will be implemented and phased in over the remainder of 2011.
Beginning in Jan of 2012 dues for all renewing IPW members will be collected during the month of January. For new members joining before July1, 2012 the amount will be $25. For new members joining after July1, 2012 will pay $13. Delinquent IPW members will be charged the full $25 to keep their membership current.
In an effort to fairly implement the new process to our current membership it has been decided that for the remainder of 2011 members with anniversary dates before July1 will be asked to renew at $25 and members with anniversary dates falling in the latter half of the year will renew at $ 13. Then beginning in 2012 everyone will renew annually during the month of January.
